The Colorado Rapids signed Brazilian forward Rafael Navarro through 2027 with an option for 2028, the MLS club announced Thursday.
Navarro, 24, has been on loan with the Rapids from Brazilian side Palmeiras since July 2023.
He has recorded 11 goals and three assists in 20 MLS matches (19 starts) so far this season.
“We are delighted to have secured the permanent signing of Rafa following his impressive loan spell,” Rapids president Padraig Smith said.
“Rafa seamlessly integrated into our group, displaying the mentality and character we value at our club. His overall game, exceptional work ethic and ability to both score goals and create for his teammates perfectly align with our team’s philosophy and game model.”
Navarro will continue to occupy a designated player spot. He appeared in 10 matches in 2023 and contributed one goal and one assist.
