San Diego FC signed goalkeeper CJ Dos Santos to an extension through 2027 with an option for 2028, the club announced Thursday.
Dos Santos, 24, has recorded six clean sheets through 16 MLS matches with the expansion team this season.
“CJ has been an important presence for us on the field and in the locker room this season,” sporting director Tyler Heaps said in a news release.
“He’s proving that he can be a starter in this league and can impact the game in and out of possession as he continues to grow and develop as a goalkeeper. We’re excited to sign him to a new contract and look forward to his continued contributions as a core part of our roster.”
San Diego acquired Dos Santos in a December trade with Inter Miami in exchange for $100,000 in 2025 general allocation money. He made one start for the Herons in both 2023 and 2024.
