Tom Pearce and Nathan Saliba scored in the second half as CF Montreal erased a two-goal deficit and earned a 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution on Wednesday in Foxborough, Mass.
Bobby Wood and Esmir Bajraktarevic scored in the first half for New England.
The Revolution (8-16-4, 28 points) saw their winless streak reach four matches (0-2-2). Their last win was a 5-0 road victory against Montreal on Aug. 24.
CF Montreal (7-12-10, 31 points) avoided their ninth away loss of the season, but they haven’t won on the road since a 3-2 victory at Inter Miami on March 10.
Montreal halved its deficit in the 53rd minute through Pearce’s left-footed free kick from long distance. It was Pearce’s first MLS goal.
The visitors tied it at 2-2 in the 68th minute, as Saliba shook off his defender and beat goalie Aljaz Ivacic with a well-taken shot from just outside the top of the 18-yard box.
Neither team could find the winner, though.
New England broke through in the 24th minute as Peyton Miller received a pass from Carles Gil and laid it off to Bobby Wood. From beyond the box, Wood then let loose a blistering strike to make it 1-0.
It was Wood’s third goal against Montreal in a span of 3 1/2 weeks.
Gil logged the 73rd assist of his career, tying him with Steve Ralston for the regular-season club record. Meanwhile, Miller became the eighth-youngest player in MLS history to earn an assist in regular-season play (16 years, 315 days).
The Revs upped their lead in the 36th minute as Gil found Bajraktarevic with a pass on the right side of the pitch. Bajraktarevic made a run to the top of the box and laced one past goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois for a 2-0 advantage.
New England appeared to make it 3-0 in the 42nd minute, but the potential goal didn’t count as Luca Langoni was offside in the buildup.
