St. Louis City SC announced the acquisition of Danish defender Nikolas Dyhr on Monday.
The 22-year-old left back is under contract through the 2026 MLS season with an option for 2027.
Dyhr arrives from Danish Superliga side Midtjylland, where he had three goals and eight assists in 103 matches.
“We are excited to add Nikolas to our backline,” St. Louis sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said. “At just 22, he has won titles at both the youth and senior level in Denmark and has gained valuable experience in Europa and Champions League competitions.
“His ability to man the left side of the field in the defensive third and final third will be key in our style of play.”
St. Louis City will open the 2024 MLS regular season on Feb. 24 against Real Salt Lake.
