The Philadelphia Union scored three unanswered goals, including Ezekiel Alladoh’s match-winner in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, to defeat 10-man Atlanta United 3-2 in Chester, Pa., on Saturday evening.

Despite playing with a man advantage for over an hour, the Union (4-10-4, 16 points) trailed 2-0 after Tristan Muyumba’s chip past a lunging Andre Blake in the 66th minute.

But Milan Iloski’s team-high 10th goal of the season reduced the lead to 2-1 before Neil Pierre equalized in the sixth minute of stoppage time, followed by a dramatic winner from Alladoh to secure the Union’s third straight win since returning from the World Cup break.

Atlanta (3-12-3, 12 points) is now winless in its last seven matches (0-5-2).

After Atlanta defender Enea Mihaj was sent off in the 26th minute on a red-card challenge on Milan Iloski, Miguel Almiron scored for the third straight match to put Atlanta up 1-0.

Muyumba made it 2-0 in the 66th minute with a skillful chip from beyond the box past a lunging Blake. It was his second goal of the season.

Philadelphia then pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Iloski — his sixth straight match with a goal — before Pierre and Alladoh each found the net in stoppage time to complete the comeback.

The Union ended the night with an overwhelming advantage in total shots, 26-4, while putting seven on frame to Atlanta’s two. Blake stopped neither of the two shots he faced on the evening. Lucas Hoyos was credited with four saves.

Atlanta is now 1-7-2 on the road. Philadelphia improved to 3-3-3 at home.

Pierre has two goals and an assist in his last three matches.

With the loss, Atlanta United fell to 1-6-3 at Subaru Park across all competitions, with their last win there coming on July 7, 2018.
