The Vancouver Whitecaps signed veteran forward Fabrice-Jean “Fafa” Picault for the 2024 season.
The deal announced Thursday for the 32-year-old free agent includes an option for 2025.
Picault has registered 47 goals and 23 assists in 195 matches (153 starts) with four MLS franchises.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fafa to Vancouver,” Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster said. “Fafa has been a consistently strong attacking player throughout his time in MLS. Not only that, but he brings tremendous character to our team. His experience and ability to bring a different dimension to our attack will be invaluable as we navigate our biggest season in MLS yet.”
He played 27 matches (19 starts) and scored five goals for Nashville SC last season after stints with the Philadelphia Union (2017-19), FC Dallas (2020) and the Houston Dynamo (2021-22).
