Nick Nurse is putting an emphasis on camp as the 76ers embark on their first preseason under the former Raptors head coach.
Philadelphia will open training camp in Fort Collins, Colo., on Oct. 2, on the campus of Colorado State University.
Last season, the team held training camp in Charleston, S.C., at The Citadel.
Nurse was hired on June 1 to replace Doc Rivers, who joined ESPN’s broadcast crew for the 2023-24 season.
Nurse won the 2019 NBA title as coach of the Raptors. He was let go in April as Toronto wanted a “new direction” at the position, ultimately hiring Darko Rajakovic.
Nurse, 56, compiled a 227-163 record in five seasons with the Raptors.
