Chicago Bulls forward Torrey Craig will be sidelined approximately eight to 10 weeks due to a plantar fascia sprain of his right foot, the team announced Tuesday.
The severity of the injury was pinpointed by an MRI exam. The team said Craig will be immobilized for about four weeks and then face four to six weeks of rehab.
Craig injured the foot during Saturday’s 118-116 road loss to the Miami Heat. He sat out Monday’s road game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Craig, who turned 33 on Tuesday, has averaged 6.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 27 games (seven starts) this season.
Overall, Craig has career averages of 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 406 games (160 starts) with the Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers and Bulls.
Chicago hosts the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.
