Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart will sit out Saturday’s game against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers due to an ankle injury.
The game will be the fourth in a row that Smart has missed since he sustained the injury in last Saturday’s win against the Toronto Raptors. The Celtics have lost all three games without Smart.
Center Robert Williams III, who is nursing a left ankle sprain, remains questionable to play against the Lakers.
Smart, 28, has averaged 11.1 points and a team-best 7.2 assists in 41 games this season.
Williams, 25, has averaged 7.9 points and 8.1 rebounds in 17 games this season.
