Clippers star Paul George returned to the starting lineup for Los Angeles’ Tuesday night home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
George, who missed the previous five games due to a hamstring injury, finished with 13 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes as the Clippers lost 120-110. He hadn’t played since Jan. 5 against the Denver Nuggets.
George took a positive step Monday by returning to practice. He was later upgraded to questionable on Los Angeles’ injury report.
The seven-time All-Star is averaging 23.7 points and 6.0 rebounds this season but has played in just 30 games.
Last season, George played in just 31 games due to an elbow injury that sidelined him for more than three months. He has participated in just 164 games during his four campaigns with the Clippers.
The last time George played in more than 75 games in a season was when he suited up 77 times for the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2018-19 season.
Clippers guard Luke Kennard (calf) missed his fifth consecutive game on Tuesday.
