Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell will miss Thursday night’s game against the visiting Orlando Magic due to an illness.
Mitchell was at the team’s shootaround earlier in the day but didn’t progress well enough to play. It marks his 10th missed game of the season.
Mitchell, who just played in his fifth straight All-Star Game, has a 28.4 ppg scoring average this season.
Magic All-Star Paolo Banchero also is battling an illness. He will play. Banchero is averaging 23 points in 55 games.
“He was way under the weather this morning,” Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley said pregame while complimenting Banchero’s resilience.
