DeMar DeRozan and Precious Achiuwa each scored 28 points Wednesday night as the visiting Sacramento Kings stunned their former team, the Toronto Raptors, 123-115.

DeRozan scored 26 of his points in the second half to give him 26,688 for his career. That vaulted him past Dominique Wilkins into 17th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Achiuwa had 18 points in the 15 rebounds in the first half alone. He finished with 19 rebounds as the Kings (20-57) snapped a four-game losing streak. Malik Monk added 18 points, Devin Carter scored 13, and Daeqwon Plowden contributed 11.

The injury-depleted Kings had 10 players available.

RJ Barrett and Collin Murray-Boyles each scored 20 points for the Raptors (42-34), who have lost two straight. Jakob Poeltl scored 18 points, and Scottie Barnes logged 14 points and 10 assists. Sandro Mamukelashvili had 17 points, and Jamal Shead added 16 points.

Sacramento led by nine points entering the fourth quarter. Toronto cut the gap to five before Monk’s 3-pointer bumped the lead to 12 with 7:10 remaining.

The Raptors rallied with a 9-0 run, trimming the deficit to three. Poeltl’s two free throws cut the margin to two with 3:17 left. DeRozan’s driving reverse layup put Sacramento up by four with 1:27 to play, and DeRozan added a 3-pointer with 1:05 to go for a six-point edge. Achiuwa clinched the result with a layup.

The Kings led 27-22 after a sluggish first quarter.

Nate Clifford’s driving layup gave Sacramento a 34-24 lead with 10:26 left in the second quarter.

After a timeout, the Raptors showed more energy and responded with 11 consecutive points. Ja’Kobe Walter followed up his 3-pointer with a steal that resulted in Murray-Boyles draining a 15-foot running jumper to give Toronto an eight-point lead with 6:53 remaining in the first half.

Sacramento rallied to take a 52-50 lead with 3:27 to play on Carter’s layup following a Toronto turnover. The gap reached seven on Achiuwa’s tip-in before the Kings led 61-56 at halftime.

Achiuwa’s dunk gave Sacramento an 11-point lead with 5:38 to play in the third quarter. The Kings were up 90-81 after three quarters.

Toronto was without Brandon Ingram (heel) and Immanuel Quickley (foot).
