Giannis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double leads Bucks’ rout of Raptors

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 11 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists in only 29 minutes and the visiting Milwaukee Bucks trounced the Toronto Raptors 128-104 on Monday night.

Damian Lillard had 15 of his 25 points in the third quarter for the Bucks, who were coming off two straight home losses.

Milwaukee led by as many as 33 points in the fourth quarter.

Bobby Portis scored 20 points off the bench for Milwaukee. Former Raptors player Gary Trent Jr. scored 17 points, Brook Lopez contributed 16 points and Ryan Rollins chipped in 10 points.

It was Antetokounmpo’s fourth triple-double of the season and the 49th of his career. He had a cut finger that was treated during the game. He was able to continue until the game was under control, and he sat for the fourth quarter.

RJ Barrett had 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Toronto after missing three games with an illness. With his return, the Raptors had their projected starting lineup together for the first time this season.

Scottie Barnes added 21 points for the Raptors, who have lost two in a row and 13 of their past 14 games. Jakob Poeltl scored 12 points and Immanuel Quickley and Gradey Dick each scored 11.

Using a 17-0 run, Milwaukee led 28-19 after one quarter.

Lopez hit a 3-pointer to give Milwaukee a 15-point lead with 5:43 remaining in the second quarter. Portis made a 3-pointer to boost the lead to 17 with 2:26 left. Trent made a steal and converted it into a layup to complete the scoring in the first half and give Milwaukee a 66-47 lead.

Milwaukee shot 53.5 percent (23-for-43) from the field in the first half, including 12-for-24 from 3-point range. Toronto shot 50 percent (20-for-40) in the first half, including 1-for-10 in 3-point attempts.

Lillard and Taurean Prince made consecutive 3-point shots to give Milwaukee a 25-point lead with 7:50 remaining in the third quarter. Barnes answered with four straight points, but Lillard came back with a four-point play. Milwaukee led 99-75 after the third quarter.

The Bucks opened the fourth quarter with a 9-2 burst to lead by 31 points.

Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton (ankle) did not play.
