Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro participated in Tuesday morning’s shootaround and is expected to be on the court later that night against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis.
Herro has been sidelined since Dec. 9 with a right big toe contusion.
“I just had to get healthy, that’s about it. Get my body right, get my health intact,” Herro said on Tuesday morning, per the Miami Herald.
Said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra: “Well, he’s definitely put in the work, not only with the rehab in the training room, but also the ramp up to prepare his body. Sometimes there are unpredictable things, things that you can’t control. But he’s in a great place right now, and we’re excited to have him back.”
Herro, 25, has averaged 23.2 points on 50.5% shooting but has appeared in only six games this season.
He has averaged 19.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 367 career games (223 starts) with the Heat.
