Utah Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks underwent successful surgery at a Salt Lake City hospital on Wednesday for a fractured right fibula and dislocated ankle.
Hendricks was injured in a non-contact play during the third quarter of a 110-102 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 28. He lost his footing near the basket and landed with his right leg pointing in an unnatural position.
Hendricks was stretchered off the court and will miss the rest of the season.
The second-year forward averaged 4.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games (all starts) this season.
Hendricks was selected ninth overall in the 2023 draft out of UCF. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 40 games (23 starts).
The Jazz are 1-6 entering Thursday’s road game against the Milwaukee Bucks (1-6).
