Lauri Markkanen scored 30 points, Keyonte George added 29 and hit the tiebreaking 3-pointer with 6:29 left in the fourth quarter and the Utah Jazz rallied for a 123-110 victory over the Brooklyn Nets Thursday night in New York.

Markkanen and George combined for 18 points in the fourth quarter when the Jazz outscored the Nets by a 42-20 margin.

George snapped a 98-all tie by sinking an open 3 pointer after Brice Sensabaugh intercepted rookie Danny Wolf’s pass. A little over a minute later, George saw a 3-pointer bounce up and roll in the hoop for a 104-98 lead.

Markkanen sank a pair of 3s in the game-ending 25-12 run, including a triple that pushed Utah’s lead to 117-107 with 1:56 left.

Markkanen made 11-of-18 shots and added eight rebounds. George was 8-of-20 from the field but handed out 10 assists.

Kyle Filipowski contributed 15 points and eight rebounds while rookie Walter Clayton Jr. added 13 as the Jazz shot 50.6% and earned consecutive wins for the first time this season. Utah made 14-of-22 shots in the fourth quarter and sank five 3s in the final 12 minutes.

The Nets dropped to 1-10 at home and were unable to win a third straight game for the first time this season. Brooklyn held out Michael Porter Jr. (back injury management) on the second night of a back-to-back.

Noah Clowney led the Nets with 29 points and Ziaire Williams added 23. Wolf added 17 while first-year guard Ben Saraf along with Nic Claxton chipped in 12 apiece.

The Nets shot 42.7% overall but were 7-for-19 in the fourth when they committed seven of their 18 turnovers.

Clowney scored 14 points, including an uncontested dunk as the Nets held a 29-20 lead through the opening quarter. The Nets took a 42-27 lead on a 3 by Williams with 7:14 left, saw it slip to three and took a 58-49 lead by halftime.

Markkanen’s 3-point play forged a 72-72 tie with 6:35 left in the third and the Nets answered again by outscoring the Jazz 19-9 the rest of the quarter for a 90-81 lead into the fourth before the Jazz roared back down the stretch.
