The Brooklyn Nets are signing free agent center Nerlens Noel, his agent confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.
The 6-foot-11 Noel will add size off the Brooklyn bench. His contract was bought out by the Detroit Pistons.
Noel, 28, played in 14 games (three starts) for the Pistons, averaging 2.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 10.9 minutes.
Drafted No. 6 overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2013, Noel has career averages of 7.2 points and 6.1 rebounds in 464 games (222 starts) with the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks and Pistons.
