Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who have accounted for five of the past six NBA Most Valuable Player awards, continue to lead the 2025 All-Star fan balloting.
The third set of fan results, released Thursday, showed Antetokounmpo leading all players in the Eastern Conference with 3.49 million voters. In the Western Conference, Jokic is on top with 2.92 million votes.
The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (West guard, 2.41 million votes) and the Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball (East guard, 1.91 million) were the leading vote-getters at the backcourt positions.
Fans account for 50 percent of the vote to determine the starters for the NBA All-Star Game, scheduled for Feb. 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Current NBA players and a media panel account for 25 percent each.
LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers ranks second in the West frontcourt with 2.59 million votes, with Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns in third with 2.5 million votes. In the East, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics (2.84 million votes) and Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks (2.46 million) trail Antetokounmpo.
In the West backcourt, Gilgeous-Alexander is trailed by Golden State’s Stephen Curry (1.79 million) and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks (1.68 million).
The East’s backcourt shows Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers (1.55 million) and the Bucks’ Damian Lillard (1.27 million) behind Ball in the balloting.
Voting ends Jan. 20 and the game’s starters will be revealed three days later.
