Denver Nuggets swingman Peyton Watson will be sidelined at least four weeks with a knee sprain.
The team said Monday that Watson sustained the injury in Friday’s win at Philadelphia. He missed Saturday’s three-point win at Charlotte. He’ll be reevaluated in four weeks, the team said.
Watson, 22, is averaging a career-best 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 48 games (12 starts) this season. He’s averaging a career-high 24.1 minutes per game.
The Nuggets acquired Watson in a draft-night trade with Oklahoma City in June 2022. He was selected No. 30 overall in the draft.
