Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and forward Jalen Williams will miss their second straight games when they sit out Wednesday’s road contest against the Boston Celtics.
Gilgeous-Alexander (right quad contusion) and Williams (left ankle sprain) also sat out Oklahoma City’s 109-105 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Gilgeous-Alexander will miss his fourth contest in the team’s last five games due to the injury.
A two-time All-Star, Gilgeous-Alexander boasts team-leading averages in points (30.3), assists (6.3) and steals (2.1) in 71 games (all starts) this season.
Williams, 22, is averaging 19.5 points, 4.6 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 67 games (all starts).
