New Orleans Pelicans big man Zion Williamson has been downgraded to questionable for Tuesday’s game against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves due to right adductor soreness.
Williamson scored 25 points in New Orleans’ 104-96 loss against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday before sitting out Sunday’s 133-121 setback to the Los Angeles Lakers.
A two-time All-Star, Williamson has averaged 22.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists while playing in just 10 of the 21 games this season for the Pelicans (3-18).
Williamson, 25, has struggled with injuries since he was drafted No. 1 overall by New Orleans in 2019. He has averaged 24.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists through 224 career starts.
