Free agent forward Thaddeus Young is finalizing a deal with the Phoenix Suns, ESPN reported Tuesday.
Young, 35, was waived by the Brooklyn Nets last week after arriving in a trade from the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors dealt Dennis Schroder and Young to Brooklyn in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, who subsequently was waived.
Young averaged 5.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23 games (six starts) for Toronto this season.
He has career averages of 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in 1,162 games (726 starts) for seven NBA teams.
Young spent his first seven seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers (2007-14), who drafted him 12th overall in 2007.
