Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson will be sidelined a few weeks after sustaining a dislocated right shoulder, The Athletic reported Monday.
Richardson left Sunday’s game in the second quarter after feeling his shoulder pop out following an attempt to strip Boston’s Jayson Tatum of the ball. Richardson said the shoulder popped back in.
He’ll be re-evaluated in a few weeks, per the report.
Terry Rozier was also injured in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics. He’s awaiting MRI results on his right leg after landing awkwardly in the third quarter.
Richardson, 30, scored two points in seven minutes before departing. He’s averaging 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 43 games (six starts) this season, his first back with the team since his first stint from 2015-19.
Richardson averages 11.6 points in 546 career games (322 starts) with six different teams. He was a second-round pick of the Heat in 2015.
