The Utah Jazz waived forward Otto Porter Jr., The Athletic reported Monday, just over a month after he was acquired from the Toronto Raptors.
Porter, 30, never played for the Jazz after he averaged 2.6 points with 1.9 rebounds in 15 games (one start) for the Raptors this season.
In 11 NBA seasons, Porter averaged 10.3 points with 4.9 rebounds in 527 games (319 starts) for the Washington Wizards (2014-19), Chicago Bulls (2019-21), Orlando Magic (2020-21), Golden State Warriors (2021-22) and Raptors.
Porter was included in the Feb. 8 trade, along with Kira Lewis Jr. and a first-round draft pick, that sent Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji to the Raptors.
Because he was waived after March 1, if Porter signs with a new team, he would not be eligible for the playoffs.
