The San Antonio Spurs are signing big man Bismack Biyombo for the remainder of the season, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported Friday.
Biyombo, whose second 10-day contract is about to expire, has posted two double-doubles this week as the Spurs finish out the season without injured All-Star center Victor Wembanyama.
Biyombo is averaging 5.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in six games (five starts) since making his San Antonio debut on Feb. 12.
Drafted with the No. 7 overall pick in 2011, Biyombo has averaged 5.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in 845 games (356 starts) with the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets (2011-12, 2018-21) and six other teams.
