Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was helped to locker room after suffering an apparent ankle injury during Thursday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
With 3:54 left in the second quarter, Edwards drilled a three-pointer in the corner. When backing up, he tumbled over Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez on the sideline.
Edwards leads the Timberwolves with 27.3 points per game. Minnesota is fighting to hold onto the sixth seed in the Western Conference to avoid the play-in tournament. They are currently tied with both the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies for the position at 44-32 but hold the tiebreaker.
Edwards scored 15 points on 6-9 shooting on Thursday before exiting.
