Stephen Curry finished with 26 points and seven assists and the Golden State Warriors pulled away for a 111-85 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday evening in Minneapolis.

Moses Moody added 19 points and eight rebounds for Golden State, which snapped a two-game skid and won its first full game since Jimmy Butler sustained a season-ending injury. Brandin Podziemski scored 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting and De’Anthony Melton matched him with 12 off the bench.

Anthony Edwards scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Minnesota, which lost its fifth in a row. Donte DiVincenzo finished with 22 points and Julius Randle scored 11.

Golden State outscored Minnesota 64-39 in the second half to seal the victory. The Warriors only shot 42.1% from the field, but the Timberwolves hit just 38% of their shots.

The Warriors led 47-46 at the half.

Golden State set the tone for the second half with six straight points from Podziemski. He made three layups in a row, including one assisted by Al Horford and another assisted by Curry.

Draymond Green put the Warriors ahead by double digits when he tipped in a shot to make it 62-51 with 7:45 remaining in the third.

Golden State continued to dominate, increasing its lead to 24 on a 3-pointer by Gui Santos with 18.2 seconds left in the third. The Warriors outscored the Timberwolves 38-17 during the period.

Timberwolves coach Chris Finch emptied his bench with 5:10 remaining in the game, sending in substitutes for all five starters.

Golden State played without forward Jonathan Kuminga, who was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee after sustaining an injury Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors said the 23-year-old would be re-evaluated “in the coming days.”

The teams initially were scheduled to play Saturday afternoon, but the game was postponed after masked federal agents shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti, who worked as a nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The Timberwolves held a moment of silence for Pretti before the start of the game.
