Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler will miss Saturday night’s game against the host Philadelphia 76ers due to spasms in the middle of his back.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he believes Butler, 35, was injured during Thursday’s 121-115 road victory over the Orlando Magic.
This marks Butler’s first missed game since Golden State acquired him from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline.
Golden State is 7-1 with Butler playing, including five straight victories.
Butler is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists with the Warriors.
Golden State also is without Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) against the 76ers.
Philadelphia shut down star center Joel Embiid (knee) for the season on Friday.
