Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry was ruled out of Wednesday night’s game against the host Miami Heat due to right ankle soreness.

The Warriors also could be without star Jimmy Butler III (right low back strain), who was listed as questionable on the injury report on Wednesday afternoon, while ESPN reported Butler will not play against the Heat.

Draymond Green (illness) was also listed as questionable on Wednesday’s injury report.

Curry, 37, played Tuesday night and scored 34 points in 34 minutes of a 121-113 loss to the host Orlando Magic. He tweaked the right ankle in the first half after initially hurting the ankle two games earlier in a 49-point effort as Golden State downed the host San Antonio Spurs 109-108 on Friday.

In between, Curry was limited to nine points in 28 minutes of a 124-106 win at New Orleans on Sunday.

He is averaging a team-high 27.9 points along with 4.1 assists in 13 games.

The Warriors are concluding a six-game road stretch in Miami, and they will have played an NBA-high 17 games in the first 29 days of the season. Their five back-to-back sets of games are the most in the league.

Butler, 36, is averaging 20.1 points and a team-high 1.7 steals per game. Green, 35, is averaging 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and a team-high 5.7 assists.

Teammate Buddy Hield also is questionable because of illness, while Jonathan Kuminga has been ruled out with knee tendonitis and Al Horford (left toe) is sidelined for injury management purposes.

Curry is a two-time league Most Valuable Player, 11-time All-Star and four-time first-team All-NBA selection. Green is a four-time All-Star and five-time first-team All-Defensive Team honoree. Butler is a six-time All-Star.
