Five-star small forward Tounde Yessoufou out of California committed to Baylor on Wednesday in the Class of 2025.
Yessoufou is the 15th best player in the class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Yessoufou chose Baylor over Arizona State, Southern Cal, Arizona and Washington among 14 offers.
“I selected Scott Drew because he seems authentic. While other schools had their merits, I trust my instincts, and his track record speaks for itself,” Yessoufou told On3 Sports. “He’s been at Baylor for over 23 years, which means a lot to me. He knows what it takes to be a winner and a champion. Watching their practice showed me how much trust he has in his players, pushing them to reach their full potential.”
Yessoufou, a native of Benin in West Africa, stars for St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, Calif.
