Duke head coach Jon Scheyer is not with the team in Dallas for its game against SMU on Saturday because of illness, the school announced.
Associate head coach Chris Carrawell will fill in for the 37-year-old Scheyer with the No. 4-ranked Blue Devils.
Duke (11-2, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) will return home for a Tuesday game against ACC foe Pitt. Scheyer is expected to be back on the bench for that contest.
