Milos Uzan scored 14 points and LJ Cryer added 13 as No. 7 Houston mauled visiting Utah 70-36 in Big 12 play on Wednesday night.

J’Wan Roberts had 11 points and Terrance Arceneaux added 10 as the Cougars (15-3, 7-0 Big 12) won their 11th consecutive game. Houston also extended its national-best homecourt winning streak to 33 games.

Gabe Madsen had eight points for the Utes (11-7, 3-4), who posted a season low for points. Utah had a three-game winning streak end.

The game was played one day later than initially scheduled because of severe winter weather that hit the Houston area.

Houston played without standout guard Emanuel Sharp (ankle).

Utah committed a whopping 26 turnovers while making just 13 field-goal attempts. The Utes made 30.2 percent of their shots and were 5 of 17 from behind the arc.

The Cougars made just five turnovers and had a 29-2 edge in points off turnovers.

Mylik Wilson collected five steals, JoJo Tugler had four and Arceneaux and Roberts added three each as the Cougars had 19 as a team.

The Cougars shot 43.3 percent from the field, including 5 of 18 from 3-point range. Houston had a 13-1 edge in fast-break points.

Houston led 8-5 early in the contest before exploding for 18 consecutive points. Cryer and Uzan capped the burst with 3-pointers to give the Cougars a 26-5 lead with 9:54 left in the half.

The Utes scored 10 of the next 14 points to trail by 15 before Houston finished the half with an 11-2 run. Ja’Vier Francis made the final two baskets as the Cougars led 41-17 at the break.

Cryer had 11 first-half points for the Cougars, and Madsen had eight in the half for Utah.

The Cougars kept up the assault with 12 straight points to open the second half and boost the margin to 36. Roberts made consecutive baskets to cap that surge with 14:39 to play.

Utah notched its first points of the second half when Miro Little hit a 3-pointer with 12:47 left in the game. The Utes missed 12 of their first 13 second-half shots over nearly 14 minutes before Jake Wahlin scored two baskets in 27 seconds.

Houston’s biggest lead was 37.
