Guard Roddy Gayle Jr. has entered the transfer portal after his second season at Ohio State, according to multiple reports.
Gayle was third on the Buckeyes with a 13.5 scoring average this season when he started 35 of 36 games played. He averaged 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
Gayle shot 44.9 percent from the field but connected at just a 28.2 percent rate from 3-point range. He also had 27 steals.
Overall, Gayle averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 71 games (46 starts) for Ohio State. He averaged 4.6 points as a freshman.
Gayle is the third Ohio State player to depart since the season ended. Fellow guards Scotty Middleton and Bowen Hardman previously entered the portal.
