Duke guard Tyrese Proctor will sit out against visiting Florida State on Saturday night due to a bone bruise in his knee, multiple media outlets reported.
Proctor sustained the injury during the first half of the second-ranked Blue Devils’ 97-60 victory at Miami on Tuesday.
Isaiah Evans started the second half in place of Proctor, who is averaging 11.8 points per game and shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range.
Evans made five 3-pointers in the first half Tuesday. In the past three games, he’s averaging 16.7 points and has shot 13-for-19 on 3-pointers.
“Isaiah has established himself with what he has done,” Duke head coach Jon Scheyer said. “It’s easy to talk about the shooting. His defense has been off the charts. He’s guarding the ball as well as anybody.”
The Blue Devils (25-3, 16-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) have won five in a row heading into Saturday’s game against Florida State (16-12, 7-10) in Durham, N.C.
