Rashaun Agee scored 18 points to lead Texas A&M to a 75-71 win over Oklahoma on Saturday in a Southeastern Conference game in Norman, Okla.

The Aggies won despite missing nine of their last 10 shots.

The Sooners trailed by nine, their largest deficit of the game, with just more than six minutes remaining.

But Oklahoma’s Dayton Forsythe made it a one-possession game with a hard, driving layup to the basket for a 70-67 deficit with 3:39 remaining.

After a defensive rebound, the Sooners’ Kirill Elatontsev and Jadon Jones each had 3-point looks to tie it, but both shots bounced away.

Oklahoma missed another layup and had a possession cut short by a turnover before Texas A&M’s Rylan Griffen gave the Aggies some breathing room with a jumper with 1:25 left for the Aggies’ first field goal in nearly six minutes.

Texas A&M had missed eight consecutive shots.

Forsythe immediately answered with a jumper to once again make it a three-point game at 72-69 with 1:05 on the clock.

He then hit a pair of free throws to trim the A&M lead to one with 26 seconds remaining.

Forsythe had a chance to tie it, but his 3-pointer hit off the front of the rim with 11 seconds left.

Griffen hit one of two free throws with 8 seconds remaining to make it a two-possession game once again and the Sooners didn’t get another chance to tie or take the lead.

The Sooners hit just two of their last 13 shots.

Texas A&M led for the entire first half, scoring the game’s first eight points.

The Sooners twice fought back to tie it later in the half, and the Aggies took a 43-41 lead into the break.

Oklahoma took its first lead of the home two minutes into the second half on Nijel Pack’s 3-pointer, but Texas A&M quickly answered.

Griffen hit a 3-pointer on the other end moments after Pack’s go-ahead shot, kicking off a 7-0 Aggies’ run that put them ahead for good.

After Pack’s 3-pointer — his first points of the game — the Sooners went more than four minutes without a field goal and missed eight of their next nine shots.

Griffen added 14 for the Aggies (19-8, 9-5 SEC), who shot 43.5% from the floor (27 of 62), including 10 of 25 (40%) from 3-point range.

Forsythe led Oklahoma with 14 points off the bench while starter Mohamed Wague had 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team shot 32.8% (20 of 61) from the field, including 11 of 30 (36.7%) from distance.

Texas A&M has won back-to-back games after losing their previous four.

The Sooners (13-14, 3-11) have dropped consecutive games and 11 of their last 13.

In a halftime ceremony, Oklahoma retired Buddy Hield’s No. 24 and honored the 2016 Final Four team led by Hield.
