Colorado safety Shilo Sanders is recovering from surgery on his fractured right forearm.
He was injured trying to make a tackle in the first quarter of Saturday’s 28-10 loss at Nebraska.
Sanders’ father, Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, provided an update Monday on social media.
“God is Good! Can’t wait to see u back ready to go. Love ya son!” the coach posted along with a photo of Shilo in a hospital bed.
The Buffaloes have not released a timetable for his return.
Shilo Sanders had two tackles against the Cornhuskers after making nine stops in the season-opening 31-26 win against North Dakota State on Aug. 29.
He was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2023 after leading the team in tackles (70) and forced fumbles (four) in his first season at Colorado. He played at South Carolina (2019-20) before joining his father at Jackson State and then Colorado.
