Running back Braelon Allen is entering the 2024 NFL Draft after three seasons with Wisconsin.
Allen, who rushed for nearly 3,500 career yards, said farewell to the school in a social media post on Tuesday.
“I can confidently say I gave my all, through the ups and downs, all I ever wanted was to win and put my best foot forward for my teammates every Saturday,” he posted on X. “… Thank you everyone for the support over the last 3 years, and I hope to make y’all proud at the next level.”
Allen is not expected to participate in a bowl game for the Badgers (7-5, 5-4 Big Ten).
He rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns in last Saturday’s 28-14 win at Minnesota to finish the season with 984 yards and 12 scores.
Allen racked up 3,494 yards and 35 touchdowns on the ground and added 49 catches for 275 yards in 35 games for his home-state Badgers. He was the MVP of the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl and the Offensive MVP of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
