Allisha Gray hit the game-winning jumper with 15 seconds left as part of a wild five-point final surge for the Atlanta Dream, who charged from 15 points down to beat the Dallas Wings 82-81 on Wednesday in Arlington, Texas.

The Dream (17-10) was down by 12 points after three quarters and by four with 23.1 seconds to play. Dallas’ Arike Ogunbowale then fouled Gray while she shot a 3-pointer, with the foul upgraded to a technical after a video review. Gray converted all three free throws and then hit a contested fadeaway jumper to give Atlanta its first lead since the second quarter.

Dallas then stumbled through a final possession that produced a missed 3-point shot by Awak Kuier with 2 seconds left and a miss by Jessica Shepard on a tip-in attempt at the buzzer.

The win allowed Atlanta to sweep the three-game season series with the Wings and capture its fourth straight win. Gray led all scorers with 25 points. Angel Reese added 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Dream while Brionna Jones had 11 points and Isobel Borlase scored 10.

Ogunbowale paced Dallas with 24 points. Azzi Fudd scored 20, Shepard racked up 16 points and 14 boards and Paige Bueckers finished with 16 points as well for the Wings (18-10), who lost for just the second time in nine games this month.

The Wings jumped ahead from the onset of the game, leading by as many as four points before Atlanta got two free throws from Gray and a basket from Jones to tie the game at 16 after 10 minutes of play.

The Dream briefly went in front early in the second period but Dallas responded with a 10-0 run capped by Shepard’s driving layup that turned a tie game into a 36-26 lead.

A 6-2 surge by the Dream over the final 1:14 of the half was highlighted by Reese’s layup with 3.9 seconds left that allowed Atlanta to close to within 38-32 at the break.

Ogunbowale and Shepard had 12 points apiece in the first half to lead all scorers, while Gray and Reese hit for 10 points each to pace the Dream before halftime.
