Third-seeded Amanda Anisimova captured her fourth career win with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Linda Noskova in the final of the China Open on Sunday in Beijing.

It is her second career WTA 1000 title, winning both this season.

After toppling defending tournament champion Coco Gauff on Saturday, Anisimova benefited from six aces along with six double faults by her foe to dispatch the Czech in one hour, 46 minutes. The title was her first win since defeating Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia in the final of the Qatar Open in February.

Anisimova, a runner-up at both Wimbledon and the U.S. Open this year, sent a backhand winner down the line to end the match before falling on her back with her hands over her face to celebrate. The victory allows Anisimova to pass Gauff and take the No. 3 spot in the WTA rankings.

“It’s been an incredible few weeks … we had a lot of challenges,” said Anisimova, who dealt with an ankle injury that forced her to withdraw from last month’s Korea Open.

“It’s crazy that we made it this far, and getting the win today has been special.”

Anisimova, 24, bolted out of the blocks and won the first set in 23 minutes against Noskova, who was playing in her first WTA 1000 tournament final.

Noskova countered with a swift response in the second set before Anisimova broke her foe in the sixth game of the third set, ultimately paving the way to victory.

Despite the end result, Noskova opted to look at her path to the final as a positive.

“I definitely wasn’t coming here feeling that I’d play in the final, so it was a nice surprise,” Noskova said.

Noskova continued to praise Anisimova before lobbing a joke at the end.

“I just want to congratulate Amanda,” Noskova said. “You’ve been playing amazing through this whole year. Actually, you’ve been more than annoying to all of us.”

Anisimova also served up a compliment for the future of the 20-year-old Noskova.

“You’re also so young still, so I’m sure we’ll have a lot more finals to play,” Anisimova said.

Also on Sunday, Italians Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini rallied to a 6-7 (1), 6-3, 10-2 victory over Japan’s Miyu Kato and Hungary’s Fanny Stollar to capture the tournament’s doubles title.
