The St. Louis defense limited the visiting Arlington Renegades to 210 total yards, and the Battlehawks recorded a 12-6 win on Friday.
The Battlehawks (4-2) opened the scoring with the game’s lone touchdown, a 30-yard pass from Max Duggan to Hakeem Butler. It came with two minutes left in the first half. A pass attempt for the two-point conversion failed.
Duggan completed just 7 of his 19 passes for 93 yards. St. Louis’ Jacob Saylors ran for a game-high 57 yards on 14 attempts.
Arlington quarterback Luis Perez connected on 16 of 23 passes for 145 yards and an interception. Dae Dae Hunter had 13 carries for 47 yards and added five receptions for 41 yards.
Rodrigo Blankenship kicked 49- and 53-yard field goals for the Renegades (3-3). St. Louis’ Lucas Havrisik made two of three field-goal attempts.
