Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku sustained burn injuries to his face and arm during a household accident, the team announced Saturday.
The Browns (2-1) added Njoku to the injury report as questionable to play in Sunday’s game against the visiting Baltimore Ravens (2-1). He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday through Friday and didn’t carry an injury designation prior to the accident.
Njoku, 27, has 10 catches for 92 yards in three games this season.
In 82 career games (53 starts), he has 216 receptions for 2,474 yards and 19 touchdowns since being selected by the Browns with the 29th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Also on Saturday, the Browns elevated tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden and quarterback P.J. Walker to the active roster from the practice squad.
Mitchell-Paden, 24, signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and has yet to play in an NFL game.
Walker, 28, completed 131 of 228 passes for 1,461 yards with five touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 15 career games with the Carolina Panthers.
