Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco is out for a second consecutive game and recently underwent shoulder surgery.
Kansas City coach Andy Reid shared the intel on Friday ahead of the Chiefs’ trip to play the New England Patriots (3-10), clinging to a one-game lead in the AFC West.
Reid said Pacheco should be in a good spot to play next week for the Chiefs (8-5).
“He did the walkthrough with us. He should be back (next week),” Reid said.
Pacheco also missed Week 14 against Buffalo. He was third in the AFC and fifth in the NFL in rushing with 779 yards at the time of his injury at Green Bay. He also has 33 receptions for 209 yards and seven total touchdowns (six rushing, one receiving).
The Chiefs also ruled out left tackle Donovan Smith (neck) for the second game in a row.
