French fighter Ciryl Gane put on a show for the home crowd, defeating Tai Tuivasa by technical knockout in the third round of their heavyweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
The bout was stopped by the referee at 4:23 of the third round. Gane (11-1) staggered Tuivasa (15-4) with a flurry of punches, knocking the Australian to the mat. Gane continued pounding Tuivasa until the ref called the fight.
Tuivasa knocked down Gane in the second round with a right hook. But Gane recovered and would bloody Tuivasa’s face later in the round.
Gane landed 110 total strikes to Tuivasa’s 29.
