The Washington Commanders announced the signing Friday of defensive tackle Abdullah Anderson. Terms were not disclosed.
Anderson, 27, is coming off a breakout 2022 season with 40 tackles and one sack in 16 games (eight starts) with the Atlanta Falcons.
He registered one sack and six tackles in 10 games (no starts) over his first three seasons combined, playing for the Chicago Bears (2019), Minnesota Vikings (2020) and Green Bay Packers (2021).
The Commanders, who finished third in the NFL in total defense last season, have made the defensive line a major priority. They previously re-signed Daron Payne and Efe Obada, with Anderson joining a group that also includes Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat and Chase Young, among others.
