North Carolina Courage forward Kerolin was named the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League Most Valuable Player on Friday.
The 23-year-old is the first Brazilian and the first Courage player to win the league’s highest individual honor.
Kerolin was the Golden Boot runner-up with 10 goals during the regular season. She added three assists.
She was named to the 2023 Best XI first team earlier this month.
Kerolin scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup Final against Racing Louisville on Sept. 9.
