The Arizona Coyotes acquired defenseman Steven Kampfer from the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday in exchange for future considerations.
Kampfer, 34, will report to the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.
He has 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists) in 231 games over parts of nine seasons the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, Florida Panthers and New York Rangers.
