The Houston Dash agreed to a contract extension with forward Messiah Bright through the 2026 season.
The deal announced on Wednesday includes a team option for 2027 for the 25-year-old Texas native.
Bright has appeared in 10 games for Houston this season after arriving in a January trade with Angel City FC.
“Messiah brings a fearless mindset and a hunger to grow, which fits perfectly with the culture we’re building in Houston,” Dash president of soccer Angela Hucles Mangano said. “We’ve felt her impact both on and off the field this season and we look forward to watching her continue to grow both as a player and individual.”
Dash scored her first goal for Houston on May 24 with the equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Bay FC.
She has eight goals and one assist in 53 NWSL games with the Orlando Pride (2023), ACFC (2024) and the Dash.
