De’Von Achane ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries to lead the host Miami Dolphins to a 30-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon in Miami Gardens, Fla.

The Dolphins (3-7) won for the second time in their past three games, and snapped a seven-game losing streak against Buffalo (6-3).

Achane’s 59-yard touchdown run with 6:31 remaining in the fourth quarter gave Miami a 23-6 lead. His 35-yard touchdown run with 3:17 left settled the outcome as the Dolphins beat the Bills for only the third time in their past 19 meetings. Achane also caught six passes for 51 yards.

Josh Allen completed 28 of 40 passes for 306 yards, two touchdown passes and one interception, but lost a fumble and was sacked three times. It was only Allen’s third loss in 16 career starts against Miami.

The Dolphins’ defense forced three turnovers and became the first team to shut out Buffalo in the first half since Week 6 in 2023. James Cook was held to 53 yards rushing and no touchdowns on 13 carries.

Tua Tagovailoa completed 15 of 21 passes for 173 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. His 38-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle with 14:52 left in the second quarter helped Miami build a 16-0 lead by halftime.

Buffalo got its offense going on the opening drive of the second half and moved inside the Dolphins’ 5. But Allen was intercepted in the end zone by Ifeatu Melifonwu to end the threat.

Making matters worse, Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid left the game early in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Buffalo finally broke through with 12:44 left in the fourth when Allen found Keon Coleman for a 35-yard touchdown pass to cut Miami’s lead to 16-6 after the ensuing two-point try failed.

Buffalo was putting together a promising drive following a Tagovailoa interception, but Allen ran a quarterback sneak on 3rd and 1 from Buffalo’s 41, broke through Miami’s line for the first down and was picking up extra yards when he was stripped by Jordyn Brooks and Minkah Fitzpatrick recovered at the Dolphins’ 38.
