The Miami Dolphins activated running back Jeff Wilson Jr. from injured reserve Saturday.
Wilson is in line to make his season debut in Sunday night’s game against the host Philadelphia Eagles (5-1). He started the season on injured serve with ribs and finger injuries, however the Dolphins (5-1) find themselves in need of backfield depth with rookie De’Von Achane being placed on injured reserve last week.
Raheem Mostert leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns with nine. He also has 75 carries for 429 rushing yards on the season.
Wilson, 27, rushed for 860 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games last season split between the San Francisco 49ers and Miami. He has rushed for 2,125 yards and has 23 scores, rushing and receiving, in 53 career games with the 49ers and Dolphins.
