The Miami Dolphins lost quarterback Skylar Thompson to a chest injury during their Week 3 road contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
Thompson was ruled out for the rest of the game, with Tim Boyle tapped to take over as Miami’s third quarterback in three weeks.
Thompson, 27, stayed on the ground after Seattle linebacker Tyrel Dodson sacked him during the third quarter. He was eventually able to stand up and was escorted to the locker room.
Thompson went 13-of-19 passing for 107 yards before his exit, with the Dolphins trailing 17-3.
It was his first start since 2022, as he took over after Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion during the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
